The Opportunity We are seeking a Project Engineer for our Transportation-Construction Management Practice in the Culpeper, Fredericksburg, and Northern Virginia areas. The Project Engineer will help manage and administer roadway and bridge transportation construction projects. Responsible for project management, contract administration, review and interpretation of plans, specifications, and other construction contract documents, monitor scope, schedule, and budgets, prepare and process work orders; mentor, supervise and assign work to team members while enforcing the practices, methods, and procedures of a professional work environment. Project Engineer will need to conduct field inspections of the construction work, track, and monitor schedule activities for payments, and verify work zone traffic control plans are being followed. Please submit an updated project list which details your position on the project and construction value Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program A minimum of 4 years' experience with major road or bridge construction inspection and/or management Licensed Professional Engineer in any state with the ability to obtain Virginia PE license within 1 year Knowledge of road and bridge construction management Excellent organization and time management skills Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to manage construction inspection activities and inspection staff on a wide variety of roadway and bridge construction projects Valid Driver's license with good driving record Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and other alternative contracting styles, including but not limited to large, complex construction projects Extensive experience in Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, claims and dispute resolution Proficient use of industry standard scheduling software including Oracle Primavera P6 Ability to travel periodically for in-person meetings Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds Preferred Qualifications: VDOT Certifications OSHA 10 Knowledge of material testing procedures and testing equipment Benefits: Holiday Pay Paid Time Off 401K Medical and Dental Click Here for Full Benefits Information If this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply. #LI-JG1 The Team While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984.
