Duties Summary This position is located in the Technical Control Branch, Enterprise Operations Division, Office of Enterprise Network Management, Deputy CIO for Operations, Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM/OPS/ENM/OPS/TC), in the US Department of State. The position serves as a technical expert in Active Directory services at the enterprise level and furnishes contract oversight for multiple support contracts. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Analyzes, evaluates, and ensures timely and successful resolution of Information Technology issues that negatively impact Bureau customers and Department of State classified and unclassified networks. Provides network connectivity and business processes support for such Information Resource Management (IRM) customers as Departmental Bureaus and Offices, other Federal agencies, Regional Offices and diplomatic missions. Determines courses of actions and problem resolutions for customers, modifies and adapts projects and programs to accommodate unique customer requirements. Provides budget and planning services for Enterprise Operations Division (OPS) in working closely with Division and Office planners to develop and maintain Division Control Account Plans. Serves as Governement Technical Monitor (GTM) in providing contract oversight for multiple support contracts. Prepares Statements of Work for contract proposals that clarify their technical requirements, and administers and monitors contracts schedules and timelines for work performance and budget control purposes project management responsibilities. Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Requirements Conditions of Employment Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing. US Citizenship is required. One year probationary period, unless excepted by regulation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Customer Service - Resolving routine and non-routine problems, questions, or complaints; developing and maintaining strong, mutually supportive working relationships with customers; conducting evaluations of support to determine quality of services and customer satisfaction, and recommending procedural changes based on customer need or changes in policy and/or regulation. Oral Communication - Conveying complex information or ideas to customers and key stakeholders; presenting information in a well thought out and convincing way, demonstrating confidence in the facts and ideas; using various methods to explain and convey information. Problem Solving - Solving complex or sensitive problems by developing and proposing strategic alternatives; identifying possible conflicts and shared benefits; helping team anticipate problems and identifying and evaluating potential sources of information; providing feedback and coaching to others to help solve problems; engaging appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs. AND Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience resolving technical issues related to systems and networks. Experience preparing Statements of Work for contracts and administering and monitoring contracts. Experience conducting information technology projects.
