The System Administrator is an individual who serves as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems under his/her purview Support for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters (HQ) Responsibilities Installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and Windows operating systems. Experience with managing vitual clusters and hosts Backup experience such as Symantec Backup Exec, Commvault, VEEM Working knowledge of a wide range of datacenter technologies including: Local (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN); NAS and/or SAN storage technologies. Oracle technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, firewalls, and VPNs Network protocols such as TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, etc. Active Directory experience with creating/deleting user accounts and resetting passwords Able to manage print servers Analyzes and defines system requirements which may include servers, mainframes, workstations, and personal computers Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Deployment of applicable server patches and performs systems backups. Deployment of physical and virtual servers Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure. Application and configuration of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or Intelligence Standards. Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures. Management and operation of systems to include establishment of user accounts. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of centralized storage systems. Experience with SolarWinds Suite (Server & Application Monitor, Virtualization Manager, Patch Manager) Experience using Microsoft SCCM Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Job Aids and Visio diagrams Provide 2nd and 3rd level support Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Analyzes and defines system requirements which may include Enterprise services, servers, and workstations Qualifications Proven working experience in designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows based Special Access Program (SAP) environments Significant experience administering Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server 2016, Exchange, SQL, GPO's, Active Directory, etc. Experience with managing virtual clusters and hosts Experience managing with thin client environments a plus Backup experience such as Symantec Backup Exec, Veritas, etc. Identifies, reports, and resolves technical security violations. Scripting skills (eg, PowerShell, Python, etc) Working knowledge of a wide range of datacenter technologies including: Local (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN); NAS and/or SAN storage technologies. Oracle technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, firewalls, and VPNs Network protocols such as TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, etc. Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, including 7 years of program management specialty experience BS/BA degree TS/SCI Clearance InTec, LLC is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) located in Northern Virginia.
