**Staff Systems Engineer - VMware (Avi Networks) Avi Networks** , recently acquired by VMware, delivers software-defined application services with intelligent automation and elasticity with multi-cloud data fabrics. The Avi Vantage Platform ( **VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer** ) also includes an Intelligent Web Application Firewall (iWAF) and Universal Service Mesh to ensure fast, scalable, and secure application delivery. VMware will be able to offer both built-in load balancing capabilities as part of VMware NSX, and an advanced, standalone ADC offering that includes global server load balancing, web application firewall (WAF) and advanced analytics and monitoring.**The Role:**We are looking for a driven, experienced, and extremely technical Sr Systems Engineer to build and expand our customer base in major markets. You must thrive on working with the Regional Sales Managers to deliver solutions to customers that consists of ground-breaking technology and new ways of automating their environments. Developing a strong understanding of Avi Networks and the adjacent ecosystems: public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), service mesh & containers (OpenShift, K8s, Istio, Docker, Rancher), OpenStack, SDN (NSX, ACI, Nuage), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, BOSH), etc., is crucial to the success of this position.**Responsibilities:**+ Conduct pre-sales technical assistance, solutions and product education.+ Architect complete solutions which meet client needs in the high-end markets.+ Develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.+ Design, implement, test and troubleshoot PoV/PoC environments.+ Participate and represent Avi Networks in customer field events such as trade shows, conferences, seminars, etc.+ Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.+ Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.+ Participate in the development of technical account strategy.**Background Requirements:**+ BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.+ 5+ years relevant experience in vendor sales.+ 8+ years relevant experience building networking, virtualization, and software solutions.+ Proven experience as a pre-sales, systems engineer or customer-facing engineer working on large scale enterprise environments+ Experience and understanding of DC infrastructure products, SDN and virtualization technologies, as well as ADC services.+ Expertise with automation and orchestration tools, and the ability to help customers operationalize advanced deployments.+ Knowledgeable in scripting languages, and REST API+ Ability to interact and communicate with CxO level personnel+ Willingness to support customers during product demonstrations, training, and PoCs**Additional Qualifications:**+ Self-motivated with a proven track record in hardware/software sales and a strong knowledge of technology.+ Demonstrated Systems Engineering success in an early-stage high growth firm (1st-4th in market) as well as a well-regarded, market-leading firm a must.+ Ability to engage with customers and to effectively evangelize solutions by highlighting technical merits while simultaneously addressing customer needs.+ Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.+ Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate professionally via written responses including emails, RFPs, and reports.+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Demonstrated ability to actively orchestrate resources and manage across a complex matrix environment within a quarterly driven sales environment.+ This role is (home) office based, but travel will be requiredThis job requisition is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsored by VMware\#NSASE**Category :** Sales**Subcategory:** Systems Engineering**Experience:** Business Leadership**Full Time/ Part Time:** Full Time**Posted Date:** 2021-08-23Sales: VMware's Sales team focuses on two primary goals: helping customers solve their biggest business problems and hitting our bookings targets to keep our company growing and strong.
