The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering, design, and configuration of Cloud environments (focus on AWS and AZURE). You must be a US citizen or a permanent US resident, as this is in support of a government contract and requires a Public Trust clearance. This is currently a remote opportunity for our federal client located in downtown Washington, DC.Responsibilities:Document network architecture, concept designs, network change implementations plan, and risk assessment.Develop training briefs and provide cross-training to team membersWork with minimal supervision, set priorities, and give attention to detail and quality, flexible, strong organizational and time management skills. Responsibility for the installation, administration, and testing of routers, switches, cabling, and other related network components/equipment. Develop and implement network security procedures to safeguard networking systems.Analysis, design, support, and maintenance of the local and wide area networks to support data, voice, and video services.Plan and conduct installations, transitions, conversions and cutovers of network components and capabilities.Provide Tier 3 technical support for voice and data network systems.Create and maintain solution requirements, design, and usage documentation.Required Skills and Experiences:Minimum of 8 years of enterprise network engineering experience.At least 8 years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, leaf/spine, F5, Circuits/Ethernet, and IPSEC VPNs.Experience working with XLAN and VPN .Experience working with Cisco ISE and 802.1X policies.Experience with multicast protocols.Experience using Cisco Nexus and Cisco wireless products.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skill set with an understanding of system(s) interoperability.Practical experience supporting IDS/IPS systems; Cisco Firepower/Sourcefire or Tipping Point.Senior level experience supporting routing protocols (BGP, iBGP, OSPF, EIGRP).Senior level experience supporting Dynamic Multipoint, virtual private Network (DMVPN).Practical experience supporting F5 Big-IP (LTM, GTM, APM & ASM).Microsoft Visio, Project, and Office experience.Strong understanding of the OSI & DOD models.Strong understanding of encryption algorithms.Strong understanding of NetFlow, SNMP, SPAN, TAPs and ICMP related uses.Ability to multi-task, work individually and with a team.Must have strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and ability to handle stress in professional manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education: Bachelor's degree and nine years of related experience Or a Master's degree and seven years of related experience Or a PhD or JD and four years of related experience Required Certification:Cisco and industry certifications (ie, Cisco CCIE/ CCNA/CCNP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, VMware VCP, MS Azure Fundamentals, etc.)Security Clearance:Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance .
