The Application Developer, Junior will design, develop, test, document, and implement new and existing software applications and solutions. The Application Developer, Junior will be required to create BPM workflows, configure, and extend Appian objects and implement the system logic necessary to satisfy the requirements.

  • Work with fellow team members and project leaders to design Appian applications, perform software configuration and customization, and create documentation.
  • Refine and translate system software requirements specifications into structured Appian application programs.
  • Configure, debug, test, and document new applications and enhancements, including but not limited to forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components on development projects as assigned.
  • Provide software development life cycle support, including conduct of technical requirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement, verification and validation, deployment, change management, and transition.
  • Work with database administrators, quality assurance team, system engineers, network engineers, and other staff to ensure data consistency, security, and privacy.
  • Actively participate in design and systems development, software configuration and customization, and documentation.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years of additional education or relevant higher-level certifications may be used in lieu of experience
  • 1+ year experience with the Appian BPM Platform is required
  • Possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator's license
  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with Agile and/or federal software development environments preferred.
  • Experience with systems and software architecture is desired.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with software application design, development, testing, and engineering duties is desired, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customers and resolve production issues.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or do on-call support.
  • Required to adhere to Chenega Corporation mandate that all employees must be fully vaccinated to COVID-19 by December 8, 2021.
