Sr Associate - Product Management, Talent Acquisition Products

The Sr. Associate Product Manager on the Talent Acquisition Team is a highly collaborative role, where you'll work with many key partners to transform the Interview Experience. Your product forms a key cornerstone of Capital One's Talent Acquisition Strategy - blending digital design with back-end integration to provide our internal customers with the ability to assess and hire top talent both fairly and efficiently. This fully custom and in-house developed solution is used by the entire Capital One enterprise, integrates with several vendor products, and is built on a modern, serverless technology stack - giving you wide reach and ample opportunities for growth. You'll flex between playing the Product Manager "exploration" role and the Product Owner "execution" role.

You will need to have product-centric thinking that analyzes problems, develops and designs simple and intuitive solutions and then, working with our agile teams, delivers those user experiences on the latest technologies. You'll need to be equally comfortable navigating the development with our tech partners as you are communicating user experience, operational fulfillment, and risk with our business partners.

Do you dream of well-designed and intuitive products and customer experiences? Do you want to be the one who designs and introduces change to help interview and assess tens of thousands of candidates per year? Do you want to help revolutionize the way Capital One assesses and hires top talent to fuel our business? If you answered yes to these questions, then Product Management on the Talent Acquisition Products team may be a fit for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with technology teams to deliver innovative and creative solutions, often involving white boarding and out of the box thinking
  • Rigorously prioritize, define, and maintain a transparent backlog, understanding the cost of not making certain investments now
  • Leverage Design Thinking and Human Centered Design concepts to build elegant digital experiences to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal partners. You will be exceptional at developing and nurturing relationships with key internal stakeholders

Here's what you'll need to be successful:
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization; results-oriented with a "can do" attitude and a bias for action
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to understand the technical architecture of data products to assess scope and drive timelines; passion for emerging technologies and how they are used
  • Strategic and analytical problem solver who can clearly identify, analyze, and resolve issues and recognize opportunities for growth as they arise
  • Structured communication and storytelling skills with all audiences

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital product management or at least 1 year of experience in digital design

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • 2 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis to influence design and technology innovation
