At Capital One, we're building a leading information-based technology company. Still founder-led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Fairbank, Capital One is on a mission to help our customers succeed by bringing ingenuity, simplicity, and humanity to banking. We measure our efforts by the success our customers enjoy and the advocacy they exhibit. We are succeeding because they are succeeding.

Guided by our shared values, we thrive in an environment where collaboration and openness are valued. We believe that innovation is powered by perspective and that teamwork and respect for each other lead to superior results. We elevate each other and obsess about doing the right thing. Our associates serve with humility and a deep respect for their responsibility in helping our customers achieve their goals and realize their dreams. Together, we are on a quest to change banking for good.

Within Capital One's design team, the Experience Strategy group seeks a Communications and Content Coordinator to lead our team's communications strategy and implementation. And we need your help to define and deliver our message to our associates!

We're looking for an experienced communicator who can turn complex ideas into clear messages that inspire associates to action. Someone who can work at the strategic level to define goals, target audiences, and overall approach, and then seamlessly turn to execution with editorial calendar planning, content creation, and delivery across channels. Someone who loves to plan-including planning for the unexpected!-and will step up to propose solutions when things aren't working. And above all, an excellent writer who is focused on understanding human needs, and creating content to meet those needs. If this sounds like you, read on!

  • Identify core, repeatable types of communication needs and develop content templates to expand the possibilities for communications self-service
  • Analyze existing content to identify opportunities for quality improvement

Editorial planning and content operations
  • Own the team's content governance, and recommend improvements as needed
  • Develop and own the team's editorial calendar and backlog, and connect it to the broader XD editorial plan
