Summary

As an Information Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for implementation, process coordination and integration for Agency-wide service delivery initiatives.

Pursuant to 50 USC § 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.

Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

- Understands and carries out complex structures for data storage, data indexing, data manipulation, and data retrieval applications.
- Install, configure, implement, and maintain hardware and software for Treasury systems as required. Additionally, conducts system performance tuning activities designed to optimize processes.
- Support the Department's configuration review board (Change Advisory Board) with review and approval/reject authority; working collaboratively with system owners, technical staff and IT services management (government) officials.
- Assist in completing documentation in support of security impact assessments, risk analysis, plans of action & milestones (POA&M) and related Cyber-Security and risk assessment requirements.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized experience: Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes FOUR of the following:

    -Experience working with classified information systems (i.e. JWICS), applications, network, server and desktop virtualization, NetApp Storage Area Network (SAN), Citrix infrastructure, or security practices such as STIG compliance and reporting; OR
    -Project management experience with hardware/software upgrades, developing project plans, providing technical solutions, and implementation of security policy and compliance management; OR
    -Experience with Windows Domain tools suite; Group Policies, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), DNS, Active Directory Domain Services, Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), DHCP, Certificates Services, Network Print and Sharing; OR
    -Experience working with a Citrix Infrastructure environment, to include designing, scheduling, configuring, testing, optimizing and documenting the solution; OR
    -Experience working with Microsoft Windows server and Exchange, routers, switches, and firewalls; or back-up solutions Powershell, Voice over Internet Protocol, Intrusion Detection/Protection (IDS/IPS) services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the system administrator and project engineering environment.

    AND
    In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must have proficiency in each of the four competencies listed below.
    - Attention to Detail, such as reviewing and assisting with security audit assessment requirements and/or vulnerability scanning.
    - Customer Service, such as incident handling and response, and providing support both operational and technical.
    - Oral Communication, such as developing and conducting presentations and provides one-on-one briefings to internal and external leadership and management.
    - Problem Solving, such as providing incident/problem management for an organization.

    For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes THREE of the following:
