Fabricator Job Description: Under Supervision from a higher level supervisor, performs tasks requiring manual labor including fabrication of metal products according to specifications. Essential Job Functions: Fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as ductwork or fittings for HVAC installation according to job order, verbal instructions and drawings with product specifications Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto work piece Trims, files, grinds, and smooths surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools Welds, solders, bots, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds component parts, to assemble products, using hands tools, power tools and equipment Ensures working environment is clean and safe Utilizes all applicable safety and personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to safety glasses with side shields, protective footwear, earplugs, and cutting gloves Identify and resolve work problems Physical Requirements: Able to see details at a close range (within a few feet) Able to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, or lying down Extensive standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting Frequently lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50lbs Frequently, bending, kneeling, and crouching Continuous walking, standing, and moving Communicates effectively Apparel: Full length trousers Work shoes/boots No offensive clothing Long hair must be tied back Hours are 6am-230pm.
