Overview: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of womens health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Senior Director, Human Resources. The Senior Director, Human Resources will work closely with the CEO and executive team to ensure organizational and talent capabilities are in place to drive leadership decisions aligned with accelerating ACOGs strategy. The Senior Director will lead and guide critical HR processes throughout the organization and leverage HR to accomplish key business objectives, implement cultural and organizational change and ensure that ACOG has the resources, capability, leadership, and bench strength to drive ACOGs member focused mission.Cover Letter Required.As a result of COVID-19, ACOG employees are working in a temporary remote capacity. This is temporary, and normal business hours and in-office duties will return to normal once deemed it is safe to return into the office. Employees are expected to return to ACOGs National office located at 409 12th, Southwest Washington DC, 20024. Responsibilities: Key Duties and Responsibilities.Collaborates with the CEO and members of the executive leadership team to identify ways to support the organizations Vision, Purpose, Values and Competencies, to build and implement a consistent HR strategy, and to strengthen employee engagement and company culture.Advise executives and senior leaders on organizational design, culture, performance, and change management.Develop and implement robust succession/organizational planning and talent development programs to ensure the company has the appropriate high potential talent at all levels of the organization.Ensure the companys performance management and total rewards philosophy serve to attract, retain, motivate, and reward an inclusive, high-performing workforce at all levels.Ensure effective implementation of the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy in the workplace.Develop an effective HR team, that is business savvy, proactive, responsive, and collaborative.Supervise and manage assigned staff. Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership. Create an inclusive environment, hold employees accountable, ensure completion of assigned task, resolve conflicts, conduct annual performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.Develop, maintain, and update personnel policies and procedures and ensure their implementation conforms to best practices and applicable laws and regulations.Oversees organizational development programs ranging from orientation/onboarding, job skills development, managerial training, and compliance training.Support and coach leaders to ensure optimal people management skills are deployed in routine employee relations, while mitigating risk for potentially difficult or sensitive situations.Manages relationships and seeks to improve services from external HR vendors, consultants, brokers, and partners.Negotiates, administers, and ensures appropriate benefits program.Advises and consults on HR issues with a focus on mitigating organizational risk.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, Masters in relevant field preferred At least 12 years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, compensation, and benefits responsibility.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the supervision of staffSenior HR Certification through HRCI or SHRM preferred.Experience leading a small team to large, measured outcomesDemonstrated experience driving effect organizational changeSolid understanding of HR principals, laws and regulations. Experience writing policies and procedures and providing guidance to management and executive leadership.Experience in a non-profit environment and/or membership association preferredExperience working with a Board of Directors and a compensation committeeAble to deal effectively with strategic issues as well as tactical operational details.Exceptional business and financial acumen. Experience developing and implementing organizational structures to support overall strategy while achieving organizational goals.
