Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)The VP of Food and Beverage is responsible for the strategic direction, administration, operations, and direct management of the Food and Beverage departments. Say thank you to departing guests.FUN: Work passionately as a team to create a FUN experience both for everyone who works and plays here.Specific Responsibilities and DutiesPreparing, planning, and managing budgets and performance goals for Food and Beverage departments.Ensures the safety and security of guests and team members. Manages processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and performance management across all functional areas/departments in food and beverage. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.Evaluating, analyzing and solving problems.Managing cost of goods sold at the designated budgeted levels and below.Monitor and adjust performance and product offering to local competition.Meets with department Directors and Managers, monitoring KPIs, Labor, Service Scores, Secret Shops.Accountable for all areas of Maryland Live Casino, Food and Beverage services and the quality of offering. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, casino policies, and marketing plans.Reports initially to the Vice President, Assistant General Manager, Vice President of Operations ECI for successful performance of assigned duties.Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Food and Beverage department. Direct reports to include F&B Director, outlet Managers and the Executive Chef.Completing assigned duties in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)Ability to analyze and interpret operational results.Ability to solve complex problems.Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.Ability to create menus and wine list. Knowledge of point of sale computer, easy bar system, Tableau and all kitchen equipment.Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.Knowledge of applicable Sanitation Laws, Health and OSHA Regulations, and Alcohol Beverage Control Laws.Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Food and Beverage departments operational effectiveness.Public relations and customer service skills.Knowledge of applicable OSHA and ABC regulations.Supervisory skills. Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.Knowledge of applicable Health Regulations.Assure the overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Food and Beverage proper treatment.Oral and written communication skills. Educational RequirementsSeven (7) to ten (10) years experience in all aspects of food and beverage inclusive of restaurants bars, buffets and purchasing experience, with instructional skills for training. Must have experience managing multiple venues.A four (4)-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license, as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position. Must also possess or be able to obtain a Alcohol Beverage Control card and any applicable health certifications.Physical RequirementsThe ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.Ability to work extended hours across all shifts in a 24/7 work environment.Ability to be exposed to alcohol, smoke, bright lights, and noise.Ability to walk up and down 31 stairs to the Casino floor.Working Conditions24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.#LI-TS1
