Summary:A' This is a management position requiring general and specific knowledge of community based programs, behavioral health, crisis intervention, recovery and rehabilitation.A' Primary responsibility is to assist the Director in managing the delivery of services, staff supervision, administration and evaluation of the Residential Crisis Program with integrity and professionalism.A' This position involves supervision of staff and oversight of the program budget.A' Work Schedule:A' Work primarily Monday through Friday standardA' business hours but must be flexible to adjust schedule to meet program needs including evening or weekends.A' Requires On-Call availability.Responsibilities:Monitor smooth day-to-day operation of program activities and service delivery to clients.Assume responsibility for assessing coordinating, and implementing service planning needs of clients assigned to designated program area.Ensure coordinated services to WSI clients through effective interface with various program components and with external service providers.Provide oversight of the hiring process, training and ongoing supervision and evaluation of program staff.A' Assist staff with plans to enhance professional growth including external and internal training and education.Review credentials, experience and performance of supervised staff to grant privileges for performing duties of job description at time of hire and annually.Teach, coach and model skills for staff development including psychiatric rehabilitation skills, crisis intervention, motivational techniques and cognitive behavioral techniques.Participate in the development of program budgets and implement designated program modifications to meet budget.A' Monitor program utilization, revenue and costs.Monitor and participate in the development of information management systems that produce accurate information for reporting, evaluation and planning and decision-making purposes.Develop and implement service reports for grant contracts.Coordinate with Property Management on housing maintenance repair and expenditures.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with hospitals that are a part of NEXUS Montgomery Behavioral Health Units and Emergency Departments to facilitate admissions into the program.Establish and maintain a process to have a physical presence with the hospitals that are part of the NEXUS Montgomery Behavioral Health Units and Emergency Departments.Monitor the admission/discharge process for all clients in Residential Crisis programs, assuring all necessary paperwork is completed.Provide clinical oversight of admissions and discharge process.Maintain ongoing relationship with law enforcement, provide training as needed.Market Residential Crisis program through presentations and disseminating written materials as needed.Assure that current, accurate and complete documentation related to all service functions is maintained.Maintain compliance with applicable licensing, accrediting and funding standards.A' Prepare program for external program and facility site reviews.A' Develop and implement correction plans.A' Establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals served, families, and referral sources, and purchasers of service, staff and other service providers.Assure safe work environment in designated work areas and positive atmosphere in assigned facilities.Participate in internal and external meetings as assigned.Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures regarding the management of residential crisis program and property.Observe and report any changes in individual's conditions, physical and/or mental health to team.Manage difficult or emotional individual situations, respond professionally for requests for assistance and support from others.Assess for health and safety and take needed action with individuals, groups and environment.Respond to crisis situation.Plan coverage for absences in conjunction with your supervisor.Complete training and documentation as required by regulation and accreditation bodies.Thoroughly document all services.Perform other duties as assigned.Responsibilities/Tasks thatA' occur infrequently, not critical to successful job performance, andA' typically account for less than 10% of time worked:Assist in monitoring other staff, students, and volunteers as assigned.Assist with maintenance of program space, equipment and supplies.Requires:Bachelor's degree in related field or an associate degree and work experience which uniquely qualifies the individual for the job. Master's Degree in mental health profession and validA' LCSW-CA' or LCPC professional license to practice in the State of Maryland preferred.Four years of relevant work experience including supervisory experience.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to navigate through applications and utilize keyboard to input required documentation into electronic health record.PossessA' a 4 passenger vehicle that meets WSI inspection, valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance that names employee as insured driver; safe driving record.
