The Director of Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology (CVIR) is the leader over the service line and provides oversight for procedural areas, outpatient services, and research specific to this department. The position is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, promoting, and evaluating all components of the CVIR service line. This includes daily operations, staffing, physician collaboration, developing and executing strategic and business plans to support the growth and development of the CVIR service line; positioning the program as a regional competitor in providing full CVIR services, including interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, echocardiography, noninvasive peripheral vascular modalities, and other related services as necessary. The Director collaborates closely with the Medical Directors of CVIR services and hospital leadership to develop and execute strategies to meet goals on patient satisfaction, financial growth, and performance, quality, and safety, employee engagement. Provides oversight and leadership for the following areas: IR Labs, Cath Labs, EP Lab, Recovery Unit, Cardiac and Vascular diagnostic testing center. Directs the operations of CVIR services.
