Between them, our members own and operate nearly 60 health care delivery sites that serve approximately 200,000 residents.Job DescriptionThe Program Associate will provide critical programmatic support to the Office of Population Affairs funded DC Network for Expectant and Parenting Teens (DC NEXT!), a multi-organizational initiative created with and for expectant and parenting youth in Washington, DC. The Program Associate will be a core member of the DC NEXT! Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Program Manager, and providing day-to-day operational and programmatic support to them, the Program Director and Program Coordinator. They will also engage with young parents, community providers, educational institutions, health care agencies, government partners, and other key stakeholders to leverage opportunities to improve the health and wellness of all young parents and their families.Program SupportEssential Duties and Responsibilities Support administration of program grants and deliverables including coordination of project activities, tracking deadlines, reporting activities.Participate in weekly leadership team meetings and other relevant network meetings, trainings and events.Recommend and participate in development of structures and processes that meet project needs and drive results.Further establish and strengthen network partnerships and engagements that support project key focus areas of continuum of care: school-based services, reproductive and sexual health.Maintain understanding of advances in expectant and parenting teen issue area(s) and incorporate into work.Research And Evaluation CoordinationPlan and coordinate program evaluation activities with guidance from the evaluation advisor including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysisOrganize and maintain database(s) to track project progress and resources neededContribute to and assist with summaries of quality improvement processes, abstracts, research manuscripts and poster presentationsProgram LiaisonCollaborate with community providers, educational institutions, health care agencies, and government partnersParticipate in OPA"s community of learning/funding cohortParticipate in quality improvement activitiesCommunicate barriers and challenges that affect project progressAdministrative SupportSchedule meetings and events, creating agendas, take minutes, manage calendars, etc. Maintain project financesCreate reports and other documents as neededNote: The Program Associate may be asked to perform other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.QualificationsRequired Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor"s degree in related field required (eg, public health, public policy, health administration). Master"s degree in related field preferred. 3-5 years experience working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teamsKnowledge of community-based organizations, government agencies and healthcare systemsAbility to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, young people, medical and university professionals, staff and other external stakeholdersAbility to work independently and proactively within a fast-paced, dynamic settingSkills working in multicultural settingsStrong understanding of program evaluation methodologiesStrong organizational and project management skillsStrong interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis and statistical softwarePreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working with a public health collaborative or partnership and/or youth development is highly preferred.Additional InformationCompensationDCPCA offers competitive salary based on experience and skills of employees.
