As we grow, your career and opportunities will grow as well.Position SummaryAs a member of the Business Technology (BusTech) Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be part of a team of engineers who deliver reliable infrastructure and SaaS services that empower and accelerate Marqetans to do their best work.As a Lead IT Systems Engineer on this team, empowered and supported by BusTech leadership and your tight-knit team, you"ll apply a keen focus to designing and implementing sustainable and scalable solutions. With your accomplished background, expertise, and build/solve/automate mindset, you"ll be key to building and improving upon a solid foundation that can support Marqeta"s growth and success.Primary ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, implement and lead large, highly complex projects focused on areas such as Identity Management and Governance, and infrastructure configuration drift remediation automation. Apply modern engineering practices, with security, scalability and efficient maintainability in mind.Bring new ideas, designs, and tools to the table. Drive technical discussions and decision-making relevant to our tech stack. Drive and support the development and implementation of the BusTech Infrastructure technology roadmap.Build, scale, and operate monitoring and alerting systems.Build scalable operating procedures for the administration of BusTech Infrastructure systems.Mentor other engineers on the team, drawing on your experience to provide thoughtful direction.Maintain and improve reliability of BusTech Infrastructure systems.Respond to, investigate, and resolve incidents. Support e-discovery, compliance, and audit efforts.Requirements8+ years of Systems/Infrastructure Engineering experience.2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.Most recent professional experience is rooted in cloud-native technology at scale, including extensive experience with SaaS operations.Extensive experience with G Suite administration at scale.Experience with cloud infrastructure (including compute, storage, networking).
