Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities are to work on the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) related projects for state and federal clients across the US.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Geography, GIS or related field.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing Field a plus.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the Technical Editing/Technical Writing Field a plus.
  • ESRI's software and ArcGIS knowledge a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills (Section 508 knowledge a plus).
  • Strong understanding of communication processes, document management, review and approval processes, and quality control.
  • Able to reliably meet deadlines in fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to manage multi-tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
