We are currently looking for an Outreach and Engagement Therapist III to join our emergency services team that provides essential crisis interventions services to the community. ABOUT THIS ROLE: The role of an Outreach and Engagement Therapist III is to provide supervision to staff, as well as assess need and connect persons with appropriate level of resources needed to help reduce future crisis. Outreach engagement therapists provides in-home crisis intervention services with the goal of helping the person in crisis experience improvement in overall mental health. Provides the following: Provides in-home crisis intervention services in a 24/7 program. Conducts interviews and makes recommendations for community resources. Provides outreach, assessment, linkage to and coordination with other service providers Provides crisis intervention for clients, including those at high risk for suicide/homicide-under supervisory guidance, evaluates risk and potential need for hospitalization; Develops and implements risk management plans; Maintains records according to agency's policies and procedures, prepares reports; Attends and participates in staff meetings and professional development activities; Provide supervision and evaluation to Therapist TII PREFERENCES: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field. 2-3 years of experience providing clinical services to Serious Mental Illness (SMI), 1 year experience supervising clinicians, experience with conducting risk assessments. Unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the commonwealth of Virginia. Experience working within a 24/7 program and experience working with law enforcement agencies and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders will be preferred. SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Must be available for daytime and evening hours. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral science field in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia's Board of Counseling and Board of Social Work laws and regulations. Unrestricted LCSW or LPC in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must possess a valid driver's license, Must pass DMV record check Must pass TB test.
