Overview Bardon Inc. d/b/a Aggregate Industries, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States and a member of LaFargeHolcim, has an immediate openings for a Paver Operator Trainee to support our Asphalt Contracting Operations in Clinton, Maryland and Odenton, Maryland. The incumbent will be trained on the safe operation of paving machinery, maintaining straight line, auger control, material feed, and non-mechanical maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Responsibilities Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Adheres to all safety protocol to include confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirements. Perform physical duties that are commonly associated with the safe operation of the said piece of equipment Performs equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing, and maintaining fluid levels Operates equipment with priority of making the job safe for all persons working around the equipment. Communicates clearly with other crew members in a manner commensurate with teamwork in order to accomplish daily goals Uses the appropriate tools for the required tasks.
