The Company: Advanced Window, Inc. ('AWI') is a Commercial Window Installation Contractor located in Frederick, Maryland is seeking a Drafter to prepare shop drawings for the Quest Window Systems products for use large, multi-story buildings primarily within North America. Purpose: This role will require the ability to understand contracted hi-rise residential projects and communicate between client, drafting, window manufacturer, and project team to ensure on-time delivery of project and deliverables.Creating and managing internal schedules and milestones to maintain contracted timelines is a critical responsibility.A Project Engineer manages all pre-construction coordination between client and internal parties.RFIs, change orders, shop drawing reviews, and material/information submittals all fall under the Project Engineers responsibilities. On the job training in manufacturer standards and communication will be provided.This role will also require support of field team as necessary.Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Manage client and contractor interaction in parallel with Sales teamEstablish milestones, page-turn meetings, and submittal check-ins to maintain clients and manufacturers required schedulesManage the Window-Wall shop drawings with the Drafting Manager:Ensure accurate sizing of windows/framesEnsure accurate finishes and glazingUnderstand and communicate timelines accuratelyManage communication with manufacturers product team on unique project requirementsIdentify submittal items from contract documents and assemble submittal packages for Project Coordinator teamReview and coordinate all updates on returned submittals including shop drawings.
