Influence broader IT team in adopting new cloud technologies and processesContribute to projects that increase the availability, performance, and efficiency of e-commerce and data platformsEnsure proper operation, monitoring, alerting and notification, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backups of our cloud environment. Stay informed on initiatives across the industry and the enterprise to help product owners and IT leadership effectively prioritize.Help establish a clear, consistent technology vision through collaboration and enablement.Participate in business-driven technology projects leveraging agile and iterative development practices to satisfy schedule, cost, and scope considerations.Proactively use tools and automation to identify troublesome areas as they develop on systems and network; analyze trends and develop a plan to solve problems and prevent their recurrence; automate manual tasks using cloud-native methods.Facilitate knowledge sharing within a broader Technology team and develop strong working relationships.Create and maintain detailed documentation that accurately describes all aspects of the cloud environment including administration policies and procedures. Participate in tool and vendor evaluations, taking ownership of key architecture decisions. Keeps abreast of and research new technologies.Minimum Experience, Skills And EducationBachelors degree in a related field is preferred.AWS Cloud Architect Certification is preferred4+ years of progressive working experience with deploying, operating, and maintaining solutions in AWS public cloud environmentStrong working knowledge of AWS technologies, including, but not limited to: EC2 / S3NLBCloudformationCloudwatchSecurity GroupsTGWVPC PeeringIAMLambdaAPI GatewayRDSRedshiftRDBMSKinesis Data StreamsMicroservicesWAFKnowledgeable in the tools and techniques necessary to design automated deployments using a DevOps approachWorking knowledge of various backup strategies for cloud environmentExperience with networking protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, network routing and firewalls.Knowledge and prior experience with the following is a plus: Meraki templates, security, configuration and support, PDQ, PRTG, WSUS, IDMKnowledge of DevOps, Cloud provisioning, Managed Services, and the Security Accreditation processStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills in support of a diverse work environment.A high level of creativity and ability to recognize and pursue opportunities to improve processes and servicesResult-orientated with emphasis on continuous improvement Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be willing to perform some tasks and participate in troubleshooting efforts during off hoursDemonstrated skill improvement mindset, eagerness to continuously learn and apply learnings to address business needs.What We Want to SeeWe are looking for someone incredibly motivated and organized with great attention to detail.
