Avatar Dimension is the first permanent Microsoft Mixed Reality Capture studio partner on the East Coast and only the fourth in the world.About The RoleAvatar Dimension is seeking a hands-on IT/DevOps professional who enjoys configuring and building hardware, installing and maintaining software, configuring networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls. Youll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of software and hardware and will be exposed to a growing portfolio of technologies.The right candidate must be technical, accountable, organized, and able to work well within a team. Youll define and implement best practices, propose and lead projects that will advance the technology framework.ResponsibilitiesBuilding and configuring equipment thats used inside our production environment. Typically including Windows nodes, Windows Server, Dedicated NAS/DAS equipment, FS switches, Ubiquity routers and WiFiSupporting our internal staff with day to day IT operational requirementsSupporting our internal network infrastructure and helping us to improve and streamline our IT operationsCloud (Azure) and on-prem platform architecture to support deployment and running of various services and platformsDevelopment and deployment of automation tools Contingency planning, setting/meeting milestones, coordinating communications and ensuring that documentation and support needs are accommodatedRemote workstation managementInstall, support and maintain servers and storage file systems.End-to-end data Management and archiving; NAS & SAN (including RAID management). Archival management, LTO tapes, loaders etc. Experience with Cloud Archiving SystemsInfrastructure and environment support for various platforms or systems that operate across multiple machines.EssentialWindows Active Directory and/or Azure management skillsWindows 10 desktop support skillsGood understanding of PC Hardware, be able to strip/rebuild equipmentHave had experience configuring network switchesHad had experience configuring Firewalls, Routers, WiFiBe familiar with core networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPsec VPNBe familiar with using NAS/DAS/SAN equipment, and the principles of useStrong familiarity with modern cloud concepts and languages such as AWS, GCP, Azure; Azure preferred.Experience with scripting, development and configuration management toolsDesirableMacOS desktop support skillsWorking knowledge of professional AV signal routing and hardwareExperience ideally VFX / production industry ormedia / streaming with engineering backgroundby Jobble
