Our customers depend on our solutions which connect the global futures and derivatives industry for trade processing and regulatory compliance needs.The Senior Software Developer position reports to the VP, Head of Research and Development of FIA Tech, and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating of application software systems. This position is a mid-level professional position capable of managing assigned tasks with minimal guidance and oversight throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Responsibilities:Participate in coding activities as a member of the development teamPerform analysis on software systems in discovery of new requirements or enhancementsAdminister, support, and performance tune software systems and componentsEnsure adherence to firm established standards for product development, security, and data protection.Position Requirements:Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably Comp Sci or other STEM5 years or more of software development experience, preferably in the finance industryExperience with Microsoft software development stack, including C#, IIS, MVC, SQL Server, .NET Framework, .NET CoreExperience with web client technologies, including Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSSTechnical expertise in n-tier web architectures, multithreading, SQL databases, RESTful services, message queues, IoC, SOLID principles, and other common design patternsDeep understanding of distributed systems conceptsDevOps experience including Test Driven Development, Agile Scrum, Continuous Integration, Jira and ConfluenceExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility toWork with product owners, developers, testers, and users from around the worldSet and mange priorities judiciouslyAbility to meet user needs and solve business problemsBe self-motivated and self-directedThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Microsoft technology stack described above and previous experience in the finance technology industry and be located within 80 miles of Washington, DC.
