  • Work directly with our partners in product as well as newsroom and business-side stakeholders and translate business needs and technical requirements into project tasks. Collaborate with other Digital AdOps leads to complete those tasks.
  • Enhance ad ops utilization of Zeus platform (our ops related ad server) by working with the Zeus engineering team to test existing logic and code and setting requirements for new feature requests as opportunities for development are identified.
  • Resolve ad issues on Washington Post pages by engaging in multi-device QA and browser debugging. Serve as the liaison between providers and the Zeus engineering team to ensure details, questions, and solutions are routed correctly and communicated accurately.
  • Ensure the ad ops team is agile and involved testing new site projects and integrations by attending roadmap meetings with Engineering and Product teams on a regular basis, developing testing plans around updates, and documenting any procedural or policy changes that result from implementations.

What you'll learn:
  • Develop thorough understanding of our website, ad platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
  • Fully understand and communicate all aspects of our ad specs, creative templates, and ad tags to ensure proper functionality of ad campaign creative elements
  • Collaborate with multiple teams throughout the design, development and launch of advertising products and solutions for use on multiple platforms and operating systems
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of ad server capabilities to troubleshoot delivery issues and provide effective solutions to resolve such issues
