Primary Purpose

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining clinical trials data collection systems, providing programming solutions and analysis, in support of project and corporate programming requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and develops software to support web-based clinical trials application in a J2EE environment
  • Implements and maintains Emmes's web-based application (Advantage Suite) to support project's requirements
  • Participates in functional/ system requirements gathering, peer code reviews, and assists with the creation of appropriate documentation
  • Designs, develops, unit tests complex validation checks, rules, workflow customizations, and reports
  • Integrates data from third party data providers like labs, EHRs, devices and external applications
  • Releases software to different environments, debugs software related issues in production, and fixes defects
  • Participates in regular project and department meetings
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Good object oriented programming skills.
  • Experience of two or more of the following skills Java, Servlets, JSP, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, XML/SOAP, Relational Database concepts.
  • 1+ year experience in applied Java J2EE development.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
