Summary

NASA is seeking a candidate with experience in Thermal Vacuum Testing, Vibration Testing, EMI/EMC Testing, Contamination Control, or Mechanical Assembly and Integration of Space Flight Hardware, and equipment and tool management to lead the technician workforce in the Systems Integration and Test Branch and mentor technicians with space flight hardware utilizing knowledge related to ESD, Clean Room, and FOD protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert (SME) in technical aspects of EMI/EMC testing, Vibration testing, TVAC testing, mechanical integration, or contamination control of space flight hardware.
  • Mentoring technicians of all experience levels within D210.
  • Management of the branch lifting, rigging, and general support equipment.
  • Implement and maintain tracking system for the branch and lab specific technician certifications and qualifications.
  • Host and facilitate the D210 technician forum.
  • Evaluate tools inventory and provide procure specifications for tools/equipment purchases.
  • Provide oversight, tracking, and feedback of the development of technician within the branch.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for GS-13,you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level working with a variety of equipment needed for Thermal Vacuum Testing, Vibration Testing, EMI/EMC Testing, Contamination Control, or Mechanical Integration; and technician mentoring, leadership, and development.
