IT Project Manager (Healthcare Emphasis) Location: Washington, DC / Rockville, MD area Employment Status: Full Time Regular FLSA Classification: Exempt Certification Requirement: PMP certification is required Position Summary: Potawatomi Training, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate with five (5) or more years of experience as an IT Project Manager with an emphasis in Healthcare in the Washington, DC / Rockville, MD area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Travel as needed to various locations throughout the country, to conduct liaison with Management, Federal agencies, and employees towards various projects. Assist with recruiting, hiring, supervising, appraising, and counseling assigned personnel. Coordinate multiple projects and reconciling the interdependence among them. Provide strategic guidance to the team. Facilitate communication among cross functional teams. Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects. ensure that milestones are met. Manage budget as assigned. Provides regular, frequent reports to the program manager on the status of each assigned project, to include an assessment of performance, identification of strengths or weaknesses, and potential problem areas. In coordination with project managers, recommends, coordinates, and monitors individual support of projects in other program areas, conducting periodic counseling and annual performance reviews. Project Manager Level 1 Coordinates, directs, and supervises all technical work executed. Supervision of the day-to-day work-related activities of assigned project personnel to include making individual task assignments. Experience in the following: Assist in the Development of Staffing Plans, Status Reports Assist in the Development and execution of Project Management Plans, to include Schedules, Milestones, and Budget Plans, Policy and Process Analyses covering, but not limited to existing system compliance with regulations, legal agreements with fiscal intermediaries, and impacts to tribal funding agreements. Gap analyses as needed to evaluate and recommend solutions related to the work. Performance metrics related to COVID-19 data. Familiar with Earned Value Management (EVM) support Familiar with COVID-19 Health Information Technology data management and initiatives. Knowledge of HIPAA and its policies. Common Task Requirements: Operates office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems and use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, electronic mail and other applications. Prepares and reviews reports, memos, letters, forms, briefings, emails, and other documents using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software. Provides customer service as needed and responds to information requests. Performs in-processing and out-processing functions of employees. Completes applicable reports on various programs as assigned, identify deficiencies, create, and administer Corrective Action Plans using fact-finding and problem analysis, and track to resolution. Ensures a professional work environment, free from all forms of unlawful discrimination or harassment Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree within the information technology field; preferably data management Five (5) or more years of experience as an IT Project Manager Five (5) or more years of experience as a Program Manager Five (5) years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Healthcare experience preferred PMP certification required Other Requirements: Must be physically able to perform all the technical duties. Ability to travel as needed, to support meetings, conferences, and training requirements. Must be able to adapt under a highly stressful multi-task environment for extended periods of time/up to eight (8) hours. Team player within organization and interactive with other support agencies If prior service, must have received an honorable discharge.
