Are you ready to contribute to a team that executes large scale flight test events to help address the challenges in defending our nation?Do you strive to be a part of a dynamic, positive work environment contributing to the success of program teams?If so, we are looking for someone like you to join us at APL!We are seeking an energetic and organized individual to provide data transfer and data library management that supports test & evaluation programs for the Air and Missile Defense Sector. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the development of groundbreaking solutions for the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency. You will play an active role in the facilitation of team communications, analysis, and security.As a Data Management Specialist, you will 1. Coordinate with DoD data centers and APL test and evaluation (T&E) staff to maintain cognizance of test data management plans and data product releases. 2. Order standard data products for each test of interest, and nonstandard data products upon the request of T&E staff.3. Transfer data products between systems in a timely manner, including during test execution support periods which may occur outside of normal working hours.4. Maintain and improve organization of test data products on APL classified information systems.5. Maintain a library of flight and ground test data products, accessible by T&E staff. 6. Maintain access to multiple DoD classified information systems and data transfer sites.7. Act as a Data Transfer Agent between DoD and APL internal classified information systems performing uploads, downloads and cataloging of key metadata for engineers and analysts. 8. At the request of APL T&E staff, coordinate classified mailing from APL to external organizations.9. Maintain a thorough understanding of security rules regarding marking and handling of classified data across multiple classified information systems and closed area operations.QualificationsYou will meet our minimum requirements if you Hold a high school diploma or equivalent Have experience with Microsoft products and some experience with generation of data reports, managing/processing data, or other related activities. Have demonstrated ability to work on multiple administrative and program tasks independently with little supervision and use discretion to prioritize assignments based on requests from various customers. Are willing to take on additional work and challenges and to develop new skills. Hold an active SECRET clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Are willing to work full-time on site at the Laurel, MD campus.You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you Have completed some relevant technical short courses and/or possess an IT certification.
