Job DescriptionLicensed Practical NurseFairfax, VAMUST:The Licensed Practical Nurse will have experience:Working in an outpatient doctor's officeTriaging patients of all agesActive CPR cardLicensed Practical Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) with valid VA licenseMust possess sound judgment, good communication and business acumen skillsDUTIES:The Licensed Practical Nurse (triage nurse) will be responsible for the following:Triages telephone calls and incoming patient information to facilitate the continuum of care for our patientsRetrieves documents and responds to patient messages from voice mailsFollows clinical algorithms to determine appropriate responseAssists patients/staff in determining urgency and level of careDiscusses patient clinical information with providers to determine the best course of careProcesses prescription requests per standard order policySorts and separates urgent from non-urgent labs, x-rays and other test results.
