Our teams are innovative, diverse, multidisciplinary, and collaborative - all working to build the future of housing.The Director of Programming will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the programs in their portfolio to conceptualize projects and events in the areas of residential construction, architecture, and adjacent spaces. The position will report to the Vice President, Programming and work with members of the team on strategy and new event concepts. The Director of Programming will immerse themselves in developing substantive knowledge of each project, program operations, and respective business plan. The primary areas of focus for this role include: program leadership and management, external relationships, and knowledge management.ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Management:Enhance, amplify, and implement organizational visionEnsure ongoing programmatic excellenceDemonstrate consistent quality of communications, operations, and management of event programmingRecommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goalsAttract, develop, and coach high-performance speakers, panelists, and moderators to empower them to bring their insight and expertise, and maintain long-term relationships with them Partner with staff to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project managementExternal Relationships:Expand revenue generating activities to support existing programs and the growth of Zonda eventsCultivate existing relationships and develop new relationshipsManage current relationships with and grow new partner organizationsBecome a trusted advisor and partner with speakers, panelists, and moderatorsKnowledge Management:Develop the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge generated by the programsCreate and implement a dissemination system to share organizational learning with a broad range of internal and external communitiesEnsure that key project outcomes are obtained through recruitment and management of expert speakers and sourcesWork collaboratively with other Zonda units to integrate cross program activities and functionsQualificationsThe Director of Programming will be thoroughly committed to Zondas event strategy and mission. All candidates will have demonstrated leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Specific requirements include:Embraces a hands-on approach in leading a variety of initiativesExperienced with leading performance-based staff and outcome-based programsPossesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be a persuasive, credible, and polished communicator; can easily engage a wide range of stakeholders including advisory groups, corporate sponsors, and potential partnersOwns an unwavering commitment to quality programs and excellence in organizational and project management with the ability to achieve strategic objectivesHas the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, in addition to other organizations, to provide exposure for program impact to business goalsPreviously developed and operationalized strategies that have accelerated program or organizational growthConsistently demonstrates solid judgment and leadership skills, especially in challenging situationsExperienced in budget managementPossesses a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, positive and mission-driven attitude, and self-directed with demonstrated passion for the mission Is team player, who can connect and operate effectively with peers, management team, and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environmentCan handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a matrix environment with multiple prioritiesPossesses strong analytical skill and business acumenB.A in English, Communications, Journalism, or similar fieldsMinimum of 3-5 years experience About Us: Zonda provides data-driven housing market solutions to the homebuilding industry.
