We have your next career opportunity available! Our client is looking for a Vice President of Finance and Accounting for a direct hire/ full-time opportunity currently located in DC Metro area. The VP will provide leadership and direction for the overall financial operation of the organization, while being actively involved in the development and execution of corporate strategy. The VP of Finance will work with the CEO, finance, and administrative team to develop strategic financial and operational goals and objectives. This position will also determine how best to fund development of business growth, work with department managers to educate and implement financial plans and productivity benchmarks and monitor progress toward financial goals. The VP will be responsible for all financial operations and manages departments such as Business Revenue Cycle and Accounting.VP of Finance and Accounting Responsibilities:Manages and directs all accounting functions to include general ledger accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, payroll/timekeeping, accounts payable and receivableMust have hands-on knowledge to enable troubleshooting of items such as cost pool setup, revenue calculations, and billing calculationsPrepares annual budgets in cooperation with management and department heads, reviews prior financial results and discusses anticipated changes to highlight future needs and trends of the organizationResponsible for producing and managing accounting processes, including budget and internal controls that ensure financial statements and reports are accurately completed and distributedWorks with marketing and syndication to interpret and present financial data to partners and/or investorsMaintains a thorough working knowledge of federal, state and reimbursement payment methodologies, including contractual accounting, payment calculations, billing requirements and compliance issuesAnalyzes and reports on financials trends and issues, providing mitigation strategies and explanations for deviations from budget and plansMonitors capital asset expenditures and depreciation; prepares annual operating budgets with input and involvement at the departmental level, as well as capital budgets and cash flow projections; and adheres to appropriate compliance standards and proceduresCollaborates with HR on Employee Benefit Programs and Payroll ProcessesDevelops pro-formas for new service linesDevelops and monitors policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced operating costs, and increased revenuesVP of Finance and Accounting Requirements:B.S. in Accounting or Finance, MBA and or CPA highly desirable10+ years of progressive financial leadership experienceProven record of success improving profitability by continually monitoring costs in all areasAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced knowledge of Excel and cloud-based Accounting Software Systems, preferably Sage IntacctExceptional communication (written and verbal), analytical, and presentation skillsJob #14585002
