My client, a top Global law firm, is looking for a Quality Assurance/User Experience Engineer to add to their outstanding Desktop & Mobility Management team. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance / User Experience Engineer will be responsible for working collaboratively across interdepartmental teams and the firm to apply knowledge of user-centered research methods, human-computer interaction, quality assurance, and industry best practices to drive useful digital experience with measurable results. They will be part of the Desktop Engineering and Mobility team to deliver a great user experience with mobile, desktop, laptop, and SaaS applications for the firm's attorneys and business services staff. They will collaborate with the IT Operations, Information Security, and IT Solutions team to analyze, research, and test upcoming releases driving the delivery of our IT services and solutions to the next level. The role will give the highest priority to quality engineering, endpoint performance optimization, and digital user experience improvements.The QA / UX Engineer will be analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex Endpoint incidents and suggestive corrective solutions. Additionally, the QA / UX Engineer will perform Tier 3-level incident and problem support of endpoints and provide necessary recommendations on potential image/system enhancements, speed, and security.The QA / UX Engineer is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm's clients, attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. The QA / UX Engineer must fulfill the needs of the firm in a manner which is consistent with the Firm's Core Values.. Interface with system owners and business analysts to develop and implement test cases and maintain an audit trail.. Perform functional, installation, integration, stress, performance, system, certification, and testing.. Provide systems engineering in support of system integration and testing.. Work cross-functionally to identify workflow issues and integrate procedural improvements with desktop applications, hardware, SaaS, and mobile apps.. Ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security requirements of the systems are adequately tested.. Verify user data integrity of upcoming releases. Create process documentation for upcoming releases and changes.. Collaborate with third-party vendors to open and resolve support cases with mobile, SaaS, and desktop applications as well as with hardware and OEM manufacturers.. Work with subject matter experts and product owners to review the user experience and quality assurance.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:. A minimum of three years' experience in the Quality Assurance field.. Experience with network and web debugging tools such as Fiddler and Chrome Dev Tools.. Experience with automation principles and tools.. Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies.. Proven experience creating user stories, tasks, and bugs in project management or similar test management software.. Demonstrated experience developing Quality-of-Service (non-functional) requirements.. Proficient in UI best practices and test user interface designs.. Experience with PowerShell, SQL Server/ Query, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and low-code platforms (MS PowerAutomate, ServiceNow Developer Toolkit, and JIRA) is a plus. Experience with API technologies such as MS GraphQL and JSON is advantageous. Strong attention to detail. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to fully utilize tools to compile and analyze data.. ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level. Nielsen Normal Group (NN/g) UX Certified. ITIL Foundation Certification. An equivalent combination of a minimum of four to six years of experience and training in the quality engineering and/or user experience field.
