JustinBradley's client, a nonprofit association in Reston VA, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team. The organization works to advance the cabinet industry through advocacy, setting quality standards, sponsoring research, and providing management tools and educational programs. Since 1955, they have been providing support to companies that manufacture cabinets, bath cabinets, other residential cabinets, kitchen and bath industry suppliers. The Accounting Manager adds essential administrative and financial analysis capacity to the organization's growth. This position handles the processing and auditing the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, credit, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager works closely with Chief Executive Officer, Director of Certification, and Director of Marketing and Membership to ensure all accounting activities are effectively conducted in accordance with GAAP and audited for accuracy. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for the routine business management. Highlighted Responsibilities: Accounting, Cash, and Credit Management: Conduct all accounting activities, optimize cash resources to maintain liquidity, risk management, and the preservation of all credit accounts.Consistently processing the financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.Process and manage all accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll operations.Maintain internal control and safeguard receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures.Execution of the monthly close, reconciliations, and prepare and review the monthly financial statements.Cash flow forecasting, financial modeling and development of information reporting tools to advance cash management strategies.Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies. Audit Management: Ensure that the association's financial position is represented fairly and accurately.Prepare all required audit materials for annual independent audit and tax filing process.Connect with an independent auditor to review accounting industry procedures and regulations. Business Management:Evaluate the association's technology infrastructure to improve IT policies and procedures and provide IT support.Manage human resource activities and maintain office efficiency.Evaluate insurance policies and manage insurance provider relationships.Preserve the revenue flow generated from certification programs. A well- qualified candidate will possess the following:Six or more years of accounting experience, with at least two years of association nonprofit accounting work preferred.Accounting or Finance degree required; CPA preferred.Knowledge of Sage 50 and strong Excel and MS Office skills.
