Nouryon, a leader in essential chemicals for everyday products, has a remote Account Manager for our Water Treatment business. The role will service existing and new customers in the northeast and Midwest United States. The Account Manager will utilize existing sales knowledge to drive growth. The professional is ideally based in the areas being serviced but will work remotely from their location. Frequent travel is expected in order to meet with current and prospective customers. The position is remote, but the candidate is ideally located in Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maine, West Virginia, and other relevant locations. Responsibilities Expand relationships with existing accounts and drive future growthIdentify prospects (through market research and internal resources) and develop these into new customers, meeting aggressive growth targets with a differentiating product portfolio including patent pending new technologyBuild in depth knowledge of customer's needs and translate these internally to Marketing, R7D and other relevant functions.Profit and Loss responsibility for the Water Treatment segment in the Northeast and Midwest. This includes sales budget planning, margin management and forecast optimization.Gain access to new businesses through participation in trade shows, courses and seminarsPrepare the annual sales budget and quarterly updates for the assigned customer portfolioConstantly evaluate sales results, new business opportunities and trends, aimed at continuous improvementImplement pricing and margin strategy and negotiate contracts as well as terms & conditions for the assigned customer portfolio Job Requirements BS or MS degree (Chemistry or Engineering preferred but other relevant degrees considered)Minimum of five years sales experience, preferably in ChemicalsKnowledge of Water Treatment chemistry is regarded advantageous, but not requiredSelf-motivated, energetic, and enthusiasticExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong drive for results and market-oriented mindsetRequires a valid drivers license and 30% - 50% with some overnight travelNoticeAll applicants offered positions by Nouryon will be required to provide proof of their fully vaccinated COVID-19 status prior to beginning employment, subject to any exceptions made by Nouryon for religious or disability-related reasons.About NouryonIndustries worldwide rely on our essential chemistry in the manufacture of everyday products such as paper, plastics, building materials, and personal care items.
