SummaryThe Sr. Data Analyst, is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing compelling visualizations to communicate insights within Precision Medicine Group's Reporting and Insight Systems (PRISM) team.Under the guidance and direction of Global Business Operations leadership, the Senior Data Analyst will support the development of management level presentations and reporting of data-driven insights that lead to improvement in commercial operations performance and realization of strategic goals across the enterprise.Reporting to the Sr Manager, Business Operations & Analytics, the Sr. Data Analyst will work in close partnership with business operations leadership, finance, and technical teams to leverage data and insights to drive increased strategic and operational efficiencies across the organization. This role requires excellent technical skills in order to lead the development of scalable analytics, excellent written/verbal communication skills to interact effectively with business leadership, as well as, but not limited to, the ability to understand business context at its depth and translating it into analytical delivery specs Essential duties within PRISM include but are not limited to: Analytics; establish baseline metrics and analytics, collaborate with Global Business Operations and the leadership team to track and report all key performance indicators against annual, quarterly and monthly goals. Establish and maintain management dashboards, regional reports, and executive review documents that will drive business outcomes Implement custom Reporting, Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions with our BI tool, Infor Birst. Monitor existing KPI metrics, developing new metrics, identity correlations and root causes Design and build visualization dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale Performing regular system audits to ensure complete and accurate reporting of data/metrics Support quarterly, annual planning activities Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data Act as a SME for BI tools as well as delivering training to team members on the usage of these tools Contribute to the writing of papers for internal audiences Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and organizational productivity Conduct complex analysis and proactively identify key business insights to assist departmental decision making; Identify opportunities to streamline / automate and efficiently produce information for ongoing requests. Supports the integration of data sets for more comprehensive customer and competitive insights. Work independently to process information and data to create reports on activities, trends, and projections regarding performance, efficiencies, and possible improvements. Partner with leadership and collaborate with Sr Manager Business Operations Analytics to implement data architecture and design, in order to support complex analysis; Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience within business intelligence or data analysis. Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or other technical field Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following methods - data analysis/visualization, financial modeling, statistical modeling Proficiency in a data visualization tool, such as Infor Birst, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or ThoughtSpot. Proficiency with SQL Experience with data warehousing and relational database concepts. Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, and demand modeling Experience with SDLC concepts and version control Other Preferences Master's degree or equivalent in Business Analytics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Engineering. Experience with cloud data warehouses, Snowflake a plus Experience with Python and/or R programming languages Competencies Data-oriented, curious, independent self-starter. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments. Ability to deliver on commitments, an understanding of the service culture and demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, as evidenced by ability to work remotely, independently, with ability to drive tasks to completion within timelines. Positive interactions with customers and teammates, including good interpersonal skills Identify training needs for direct reports and develop training plans to address those needs Strong Communication Skills, both verbally and written.
