Position SummaryThe Tier 1,2,3 Service Desk Technician helps support the Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management (JSPETM) activities at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. As a Tier Service Desk Technician supporting JSPETM, you will be trusted to detect, report, and provide tier 1, 2, and 3 level response and repair to Pentagon Transport layer circuits in a 24/7 facility.Responsibilities:Installs, Operates, and Maintains DISA and commercial circuits.Utilization of monitoring tools to provide both reactive and proactive support for the client's network and systems infrastructure.Use of encryption equipment and interpreting engineering circuit layout diagramsProvide help desk support and operationApplication of industry-accepted standards and best practices related to InformationManagement Operations and ITSM best practices.Work Schedule: PANAMA Shift requires 12-hour shifts 6:00 am - 6:00 pm with 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off Required QualificationsBachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experienceDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)3 5 years of related hardware engineering experience designing and developing informationprocessing hardware, computer systems, and electrical components1 3 years experience working within Technical Control and/or SCIF environmentWilling to support the designated work hours schedule indicated above. Desired Qualifications:ITIL V3 Foundation certificationExperience operating and maintain fill devices including DTDs, SKLs, KYK13s, KYK15s, KOIExperience operate and maintain encryption devices such as KIV7/7Ms, Fastlanes, Taclanes, Key Generators, and STE equipment.Demonstrated experience in a DOD Information Technology environmentKnowledge and experience in digital and analog circuit design and implementation.Experience in the analysis testing and troubleshooting TDM & TDMoIP circuits.Knowledge of IP and optical network operation.Must be knowledgeable of equipment to include transport systems (DWDM, SONET, TDMoIP and TDM), timing and sync, circuit test and analysis, electrical/physical interfaces, crypto, and circuit signaling.Must be knowledgeable of Promina/NX1000 operation, provisioning, and installation.
