A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / LABORER As a Heavy Equipment Operator / Laborer, each day is a new adventure as you work on utility installations including sanitary sewer and water line replacements using traditional excavation and trenchless methods. Your day consists of completing a variety of tasks including pipe bursting, directional drilling, excavation, utility locating, hand-digging, breaking concrete, replacing concrete, and patching asphalt.
