Sales Focus Inc. is looking for a sales representative to join our team in our Columbia, Maryland office. This person will actively seek out and engage prospective customers to promote our client's airplane hanger/marine communication system.Job SummaryOur client is looking for the next sales go-getter to join their team. The sales function is responsible for actively seeking out and engaging customer prospects, providing complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. In this role, you ll be a critical team player who will work directly with our marketing, customer support, engineering, and executive team in bringing industry-leading products and services to market. You ll be part of an extraordinary team of hardworking, high-performing people who work together in a fast-paced environment to produce products our customers want to use.Key Responsibilities - What you'll do B2B (75%) - present, promote, and sell products and services to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) B2C (25%) - present, promote and sell products and services to Marine (boats/marina) and General Aviation (pilots/hangars) Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships Reach out to customer leads on the phone or through on-site visits Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and servicesDesired Qualities - what you possess, demonstrate and want to shareAs a start-up, our client is looking for passionate people who can keep pace, be team players, have the patience to figure things out, and step outside their lane to solve problems.Job Specific Skills/Knowledge/Experience You Have & We Need: Proven work experience selling B2B and B2C Highly motivated and target is driven with a proven track record in sales Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs Ability to travel to customer site(s)Relationship management skills Open to feedback BS/BA degree or equivalentGives you an edge (preferred): General knowledge of the Marine and/or General Aviation space An avid boater/sailor and/or pilot s license Connections throughout the marine and/or pilots communityCore Skills Necessary For Our Start-Up: Communication - is responsive, articulate, concise, and clear verbally and in writing Execution - has a sense of urgency and achieves goals as promised Problem Solving - defines, understands, scopes, and solutions the important issues Responsiveness -gets back to teammates, customers, and partners within 24 hours with an answer or update Peer Relationships - builds positive and collaborative connections with teammatesOur Cultural Traits & ValuesWe ve found that people who align with our company s cultural traits and values are typically a great fit and work well with the team.
