Works on advanced, complex technical projects that require state of the art technical or industry knowledge on subjects such as mechanics, fluid mechanics, quantum mechanics, geology, optics, acoustics, electricity, pneumatics, magnetism, and electromagnetic and particle radiation. Uses, maintains, tests, and develops mathematical and scientific models to study complex systems. Resolves highly complex technical issues, conducts advanced engineering research, and recommends alterations to development and design. Prepares technical documentation and presentations to explain the approach, associated assumptions and conclusions of scientific investigations. Integrates and coordinates work within the department and other departments. Responsible for risk management and quality control efforts. Applies technical expertise directly to work efforts.Qualifications Master's degree in Nuclear engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related curriculum 5 years of related experience in an engineering or scientific function, including research and development or acquisition. Demonstrated success in engineering programs or projects.
