Persistent Systems isseeking a Director of Business Development, Armywho will be responsible forgrowing business by identifying and establishing new customer relationships, as well as maintaining our existing ones for our Army customers. You will also be responsible forcapturing business, managing high revenue accounts, and assisting with programmatic measures to ensure thatcustomers receive the best products and services available for their needs. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating and implementingstrategies that will expand Persistent Systems customer base on a global scale.The position will be remote, but, the preferred location is within a commutable distance from the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.Position ResponsibilitiesIdentifying potential new customers; managing and developing existing customer relationshipsDeveloping sales strategies and unique selling propositions to meet sales targetsCollaborating with Sales and Engineering to identify new product opportunitiesDeveloping and retaining existing customer relationships by presenting solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring customer satisfactionManaging key accounts after the initial saleCreating business proposals, handling initial negotiations, and closing business deals as part of a teamIdentifying industry and marketing events and trade shows that will provide opportunities to expand the companys customer baseOrganizing and traveling to trade shows to identify new business opportunities and strengthen current customer relationshipsConducting presentations for large groups of internal and external stakeholdersAdhering to established sales-administrative processes that allow for the transparent flow of communication between sales and internal operations teamsMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experienceAt least 5years of Sales/Business Development experience with commercial and/or Government customersExperience in a senior-level sales role working with customers in the Defense industryDemonstrated knowledge ofRadio Frequency (RF) and network theoryMust be able to travel up to 50% of the timeMust have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security ClearancePreferred QualificationsMasters degree in business or a related fieldDefense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certifications from DAUPrior experience interfacing with Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG)Strong understanding of acquisition/procurement process within the C5ISR community5+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development with a demonstrated track record of revenue growthHeadquartered in New York City since 2007, Persistent Systems, LLC is a global communications technology company which develops, manufactures, and integrates a patented and secure Mobile Ad Hoc Networking (MANET) system: Wave Relay.
