Job Description:The Tusculum Farm Marketing & Communications Coordinator - reporting to the Director of Operations - is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all of The Farm's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both internal and external. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator also oversees development and implementation of marketing support materials and coordinates, at the strategic and tactical levels, with the other functions of The Farm. This position also assists with Inn and Event operations when needed. Note: some weekends and evenings required for this position.Role and Responsibilities:Responsible for creating, implementing, organizing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Tusculum Farm brand.Ensure articulation of the Tusculum Farm's desired image and position through:A' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Upholding set brand guidelinesA' A' A' A' A' A' A' A' Consistent communication and brand messaging both internally and externallyResponsible for the programming and direction of Tusculum Farm platforms (including website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).Coordinate media interest in The Farm and its mission, and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriately respond to media requests.Coordinate and oversee that the Tusculum Farm regularly conducts relevant market research and monitor trends.Lead relevant projects as assigned.Daily Operations: Successfully plan and implement communications and branding activities consistent with the mission and values of Tusculum Farm -- while honoring the TF legacy and always being mindful of financial sustainability.Manage ongoing communications activities - including internal and external communication with guests, partners, and colleagues related to The Farm.Work with the Director of Operations to create and implement annual Marketing and Communications plan(s).Maintain strong relationships with organizations and individuals with whom The Farm has a contractual relationship with.Maintain the Tusculum Farm web site and social platforms in a professional, accurate and timely manner.Create and monitor necessary web-based applications and surveys.Manage testimonials, photographs and other information that helps to tell the Tusculum Farm story.Manage the design, production and distribution of Tusculum Farm communications collateral and materials, including stationery, business cards, newsletters, presentations, and special items for Farm events, etc.Uphold and manage brand standards and guidelines to consistently and professional represent Tusculum Farm.Prepare press releases, media statements, talking points, etc. and manage media inquiries and interviews.Work closely with Director of Operations and Sales Associate on Tusculum Farm hosted events.From time to time assist Director of Operations with Inn and Event duties and act as Assistant General Manager Perform other relevant duties assigned or identified.About Tusculum FarmFarm (the Farm) is included in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties and has a rich American history. The property was owned in the mid-18th century by Henry Griffith, a prominent Marylander who in addition to being a member of the Annapolis Convention that formed the Association of Freeman of Maryland, also witnessed the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Carl and Virginia Freeman became the owners of Tusculum Farm in May of 1964, making them the 16th in the chain of titles of the 500+ acre property dating back to 1747. The Freeman family lived on the farm up until 2015, when it was decided that Tusculum Farm would be opened up to all to create their own memories there.
