The Finance Manager - Marketing & Distribution plays a primary role in the development, analysis, and execution of M budget.This position will provide financial and strategic decision support to the M leaders to ensure appropriate execution of pay for performance budget allocations. A key member of the team, the Manager will collaborate with management and other partners to assist in delivering comprehensive, consistent, and actionable analyses in support of the creation and maintenance of the financial budgets and forecasts for the user funded programs within M, continuous improvement activities aimed to maximize profitability and revenue generation and improve financial efficiencies when required.Primary Duties & Accountabilities:Planning, Budgeting and ForecastingManage the development and of the marketing and distribution budget including reforecasts, recording, and reporting actual performance.Develop and apply resource allocation methodology for the M programs and provide strategic recommendations for resource allocation in collaboration with key stakeholders.Work closely with program stakeholders to understand and support development of budget allocation requirements for operations and in support of key initiatives and objectives.Regularly monitor budgets with management and develop processes for communicating status to the M teams.Create, manage, and continuously evolve the regular reporting process, tracking progress against qualitative and quantitative objectives and initiatives within M .Manage the user funded programs spending and potential revenue forecast by developing and managing financial models to optimize the spending for pay for performance. This will include providing recommendations and developing methodology/models for assessing/analyzing initiative ROI.Build detailed financial, scenario-based revenue models to evaluate growth metrics, pricing, and funding for investment decisions.Create and manage optimization models to set targets for user funded programs. Model program profitability and return on relative incremental investment.Use analysis to provide recommendations for investment trade-off decisions, media allocation prioritization, etc.Perform Ad-hoc analyses and requests as required by the M functions.Leadership & InfluencePerform ad-hoc research and analysis projects as directed.Compile and present research and analysis clearly and concisely in a variety of formats including standard Word documents, PowerPoint, and Excel.Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with various M vendors.Support the monthly accruals process working closely with the accounting team.Partner with the finance, accounting, and M business teams to operationalize budgets.Meet and maintain accountability for multiple, occasionally overlapping, deadlines.Maintain and operationalize several projects simultaneously; prioritize and reprioritize workload as department needs dictate.OperationsEstablish, maintain, and manage relationships with various M stakeholders.Manage the monthly accruals process for M functional areas.Partner with the finance, accounting and M business teams to operationalize budgets.Partner with the finance, accounting and M business teams to create and operationalize business cases.Meet and maintain accountability for multiple, occasionally overlapping, deadlines.Maintain and operationalize several projects simultaneously; prioritize and reprioritize workload as department needs dictate.Skills, Educational Background & Experience:Education, Experience & KnowledgeBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.6+ years of experience doing financial planning and analysis.Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel (financial modeling and analytical techniques; experience with VBA/automation a plus) and PowerPoint.Candidate must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and an ability and desire to learn quickly.Experience with Tableau, PeopleSoft and Corporate Performance Management tools strongly preferred.Hospitality experience a plus.Ability to translate complex and disparate sets of data into easy-to-understand business insight for executive consumption.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, works well with limited supervision.Strong competency skills required the areas of customer service, organizational skills, analytics and problem solving, innovation and creativity, providing business reason for change, decision-making, program/project management, listening to others, and creating an inclusive culture.Ability to model Choice's Cultural Values: Welcome and Respect Everyone, Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious and Show Integrity.
