What you will do Responsible for accurately and timely preparing data needed to prepare customer invoices Responsible for the collection tasks and supporting the Accounts Payable and other Accounting/Finance functions as needed. How you will do it Ensures billing parameters match the Contractual Agreement as applicable. Maintain billing schedule to ensure that contracts are billed on time. Prepare manual customer billings in accordance with contract terms and guidelines. Work closely with Contracts and project personnel to ensure prompt and accurate billing. Process, prepare and submit electronic invoices to government and non-government customers using WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow) and other electronic methods as required by the contract. Manages the collection efforts through relationship building and the ability to solve collection activities, billing disputes, and payment options. Investigate, analyze, escalate and resolve accounts receivable issues to ensure timely payment and maximize company cash flow. Be the customer interface for all billing related issues. Responsible for investigation, analysis, escalation and resolution of accounts receivable issues. Assist internal and external customers regarding billing inquiries while ensuring to accuracy, accountability, and timeliness to the customer. Assist direct communication with customers, Sales and other internal departments as required. Serve as the backup for the billing responsibilities for other JCFS subsidiaries. Support the Accounts Payable and other Accounting/Finance related functions as directed. Key player in month-end closing. Willing to work in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. What we look for Required 5+ years prior experience in billing, collection or other Accounting & Finance functions. Government contract experience is desired Knowledge and experience in reviewing contract award for billing requirements desired; Excellent Analytical/problem solving and financial skills - an ability to identify, analyze, and help resolve problems timely & effectively. Ability to mine data to identify trends. Advanced knowledge of Excel applications. Detailed oriented and reliable. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks going on simultaneously, with overlapping responsibilities and firm due dates. Must be flexible, independent, a quick learner with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management. Associate's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field required.
