Our client, a large telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Political Sales Support Specialist for a 3+ month contract role in Bethesda, MD. JOB SUMMARY This role is integral in helping the sales team to maximize multiscreen solutions, which has a direct impact on our ability to deliver and exceed our client' s marketing and advertising expectations. This position will oversee all facets of the political sales execution process and work in collaboration with internal cross-functional groups as well as our sales partner, Ampersand. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for processing television advertising schedules through various order management systems for Political campaigns. Exercises judgment to manage makegoods and pre-emptions by providing inventory options to Ampersand to ensure all revenue is recaptured in a timely manner. Manages communication between internal cross-functional groups (Pricing, Finance & Operations) to deliver exceptional customer service and order stewardship. Utilizes data and reporting on a weekly basis to identify clients with large revenue discrepancies. Supports Political Sales Team with billing reports, presentation materials and other special projects. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor' s degree from four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent written/oral communication skills required to service internal and external clients. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload surrounding strict deadlines. Detail-oriented, eager to learn and excellent problem solving skills. Knowledge of cable television and advanced advertising products is a plus.
