Skills & Tasks The Level 2 System Engineer (SE) shall possess the following capabilities: Provide input and assessment of mission and functional requirements that reflects real-world use cases and lessons learned from operational use of tools, analytics, and XAG capabilities deployed. Coordinate with the IC/Services/Partner user communities to define specific use cases to support XAG capabilities, exercises, and missions. Provide mission expertise and operational lessons learned to drive exercises and operational support for all stakeholders and partners. Validate and verify the details of operational scenarios and use cases to support operational mission threads and exercises. Support engineering, integration/testing, deployment, and OPS support teams to better understand the utility and use of deploying capabilities to address signals of interest from a mission perspective (ie, HF, VHF, UHF, Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi AoA, TDOA, or FDOA). Develop operational and mission strategies for modernization with site/partner operations, training, and mission support teams. Develop training and tutorials for new XAG frameworks, architectures, tools, analytics, and data services. Generate plans and use case scenarios for operational exercises, QRCs, mission uses cases, mission management, and OPSEC strategies for planned XAG capabilities. Develop operational drivers for SOA, IA assurance, security implementation strategies, DoDAF standards, ODNI/DoD compliant and JICD interoperability, and data interface compatibility for XAG applications and related services. Develop OPS scenarios and use cases for specific operational exercises, operational risk assessments, mission data flow management, OPSEC scenarios for planned XAG capabilities. Provide operational solutions and expertise for various operational and technical activities, based on domain experience, mission operations expertise, joint exercise lessons learned, and SIGINT tools knowledge. Assess operational environments and survey results to identify technical challenges, mission viability, and collection strategies for signals of interest (ie, HF, VHF, UHF, Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi AoA, TDOA, or FDOA). Assess modernization initiatives through in-depth operational analysis and assessment for areas covering signals of interest (ie, HF, VHF, UHF, Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi AoA, TDOA, or FDOA). Develop and propose strategies for implementation for next generation modeling & simulation, engineering and performance management, signal processing and advanced analytics for XAG capabilities related to signals of interest (ie, HF, VHF, UHF, Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi AoA, TDOA, or FDOA). Work with the senior SWEs and mission experts to identify areas of modernization, advanced research, and new strategies to address future operational challenges. Tools and Processes: Experience with JIRA for requirements management; MS Office for engineering documentation, briefings, and deliverables; MS Project for dependencies mapping and roadmap generation (IMS for phased deliverables); understand the DoD5000, INCOSE SE practices, and NSA Policies related to IT Security, Integration & Testing, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, etc. #ncrci #SZQualifications Education Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Qualifications Fourteen (14) year's as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Experience working in a minimum of four of the following: High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi, Angle of Arrival (AOA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), Frequency Difference of Arrival (FDOA) Certifications DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required. Clearance Requirements TS/SCI with Poly Essential Functions Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Equipment & Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
