The desired effect of your role is to take accountability as a leader for delivering a 'Best in Class' IT experience withinR IT.Delivering the portfolio of projects and services needs people with hybrid skill sets covering technical, analytical, project management, service management, BRM and business analysis skills, combined with an excellent knowledge of AZ Finance and Global Product and Portfolio Strategy processes. Our Associate Project Managers contribute to a range of projects including IT development, data management, analytics, AI, machine learning, business transformation and more. Our projects deploy a range of technologies including internal custom built solutions, packaged software, ERP solutions, Software as a Service as well as Cloud based solutions and BI tools.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Associate IT Project Manager supports project managers to plan, mobilize, manage, and deliver transformational IT projects to ensure that they align to the vision and business strategy, and that true business value is delivered to the customer as a result. This involves monitoring project plans, schedules, resource allocations, budgets and expenditures, risks and issues as well as organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. This role is also responsible for coordinating administration of projects and ensuring status reports are updated regularly and escalating deadlines and outstanding actions to Project Manager. Having a strong partnership with the business customer driving the demand for the solution is important to success in this role.Focus areas include stakeholder management across Business, IT, and vendor partners, risk management and delivery of business benefit. This role is also required to collaborate with others in Program and Project Management, and participate in the development of the project / program management capability across IT in a tangible and measurable way.Education, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceTechnical, Science or Business degree or equivalent years of experienceAt least 1 years of Project Coordinator or Project Manager experience, ideally in a Pharmaceutical IT environmentExperience working in global organization and across cultural boundariesExperience delivering, managing, and controlling projects/programsExperience working with third party suppliersAn entrepreneurial mindset and the proven ability to shape innovative solutionsWell-developed organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsDesirable Requirements: Master's degree preferredExperience working in a highly regulated environmentExcellent relationship management, and influencing skillsExperience in Agile Project ManagementDemonstrated skills interacting with Senior LeadersProgram/Project Management certifications preferred (Prince, PMP, MSP, Agile - Scrum, SAFe)(As part of our commitment to internal succession and development we have identified a strong internal candidate, however, if you wish to be considered please apply.)WHY JOIN US?At AstraZeneca we're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
