Senior Electronics Technician
Job Summary Amentum is seeking an Electronics Technician to provide electronics and/or RF technical support in the removal, installation and certification testing of the antennas aboard various classes of United States Navy vessels.Duties:* Perform/assist with test and evaluation, checkout, certification tasks. Perform technical assessments of various shipboard antennas.* Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, vendor services coordination, removal/installation events, and other engineering tasks as needed.* Provide technical data reports and repair recommendations for shipboard antenna systems. Minimum Requirements+ Ten year(s) of technical experience in electronics and/or evaluating antennas to ensure operation is within specifications. + Demonstrated thorough knowledge and application of MIL-STD-1310 with respect to ground and bonding. + Experience using one or more of the following pieces of RF test equipment: multi-meters, Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs), Spectrum Analyzers. + Experience with reading and understanding antenna schematics and drawings. + Ability to perform soldering of connectors and minor board level repairs. + Good communications and analytical skills. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to accept and respond to new emergent and unique project task requirements. + Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing to coworkers and team members as well as external entities/customers. + Experience in preparing technical documents, including test plans, test reports, and presentations. + Ability to travel to support shipboard work. + Computer knowledge of programs, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office - Word, Excel; e-mail services. * Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. MUST BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR AN INTERIM SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE Preferred Qualifications + Experience working aboard Navy ships. + Ability to Lift and Carry up to 50 lbs. + Ability to work at various shipboard heights, including the top of masts, either from a crane bucket, scaffolding, or man lift.
