The Naval Enterprise and Sea Systems (NESS) Department, N231, provides systems engineering expertise to inform decision making, increase effectiveness, and enable the next generation of resilient, advanced Naval warfare capabilities to maintain US maritime superiority.Job Responsibilities:We are seeking innovative and energetic engineers, technologists and domain experts to join our talented team in delivering data driven products that have high impact on the Navy and our National Security. The strongest candidates will have the ability to develop digital engineering solutions for Naval systems and perform modeling and simulations to answer difficult questions to address the warfighter needs.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree minimum with 5-8 years of related experience ; or Master's degree with 3-6 years of related experience; or a PhD with 0-3 years of relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experienceApplicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.Required Qualifications:Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance which will require US citizenship.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.Experience in the practical application of DE lifecycle (systems architecting and MBSE, M, etc.)Proficient in the use of multiple architectural frameworks, tools, and methodologiesProficient in the use of systems modeling languages, methods, and tools. Demonstrated experience in use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems modeling methods, such as Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM)Experience applying modeling, analysis, and design activities to support planning and decision-making to improve and transform a system or system-of-systems environmentExperience reporting on capabilities and options through the lens of architecture and engineering analysis delivered in a standardized way through model-based approachesProven ability to work independently to learn new technologies, techniques, processes, software languages, platforms, and systemsKnowledge of Analysis of Alternatives, Verification and Validation, Design of Experiments, and data analytics.Experience in one or more of: Naval Weapons Systems, Critical Infrastructure, Cyber Resilience, Advanced Naval Weapons Systems, and/or Joint All Domain Operations, Control Theory and/or Industrial Control Systems, Undersea Warfare, Electronic Warfare, Directed Energy, Electromagnetic Warfare, or HypersonicsStrong communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills to interact with technical peers and government sponsorsFamiliarity with product lifecycle, trade studies, requirements, and interface definitions.Interest in complex multi-disciplinary problems and ability to work with colleagues across engineering domains.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearancePreferredQualifications:Advanced degree in a technical disciplineExperience with architecture frameworks, such as DoDAF, UAF, and TOGAF, and related modeling profiles, such as Unified Profile for MODAF (UPDM)Experience with M applications and integration of models and applications to perform more comprehensive simulationsExperience with developing add-ons or plugins for systems modeling toolsProficiency in one or more of the programming languages for quantitative analyses (ex.
