Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:General Summary: The Clinical Education Specialist has expertise in curriculum design and instruction, implementation, and evaluation of learning and outcomes. The Clinical Education Specialist functions both autonomously and in collaboration with other providers to manage, support, and provide orientation, training, education and ongoing competency for staff. The Clinical Education Specialist has expertise in and utilizes evidence-based practice in development of standards of practice and provision of educational activities. The Clinical Education Specialist supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. National certification in clinical specialty required (National certification must be acquired by the end of the probationary 6th month period; if it is not acquired and maintained, the incumbent is not eligible to remain in the role.) Role certification preferred. Certification in BLS; BLS and/or ACLS Instructor Status preferred.Minimum Skills, and Abilities Required:Masters Degree - clinical or non-clinical focus (baccalaureate in nursing required if non-MSN degree) Teaching experience required; academic experience preferred. Minimum five (5) years related clinical experience. Available to meet educational needs on all shifts. Computer and audiovisual skills using various applications: Internet, email, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheets. Demonstrates skills in organization, project design, implementation and evaluation.Working Conditions:Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients up to 35 pounds.Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.Environmental Conditions: The worker is subject to hazards.
