As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop and maintain ERM policies, processes, procedures, tools, and information systems Support the development of State's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework Perform enterprise risk identification, assessment, prioritization, reporting, and monitoring Maintain the process for establishing ERM communication at all levels for gathering data and developing risk reports Assess defined risks to identify cross-functional root causes and consequences Coordinate with the ERM team and risk owners to develop recommendations for risk response and monitoring plans Analyze and evaluate sensitive data within systems to identify any patterns, trends, or data anomalies Develop action plans for dispersing, controlling, responding, diminishing, isolating, testing, improving, relocating, redesigning, or diversifying risks Evaluate risk levels and implement risk responses and monitoring Produce analytical and comparative risk reports and utilize various risk monitoring tools (eg, scorecards, dashboards) to provide for regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) management reporting in support of the agency's enterprise-wide risk management program Be responsible for developing high quality, on schedule deliverables, in direct support of the client and Grant Thornton team and support ad hoc risk management requests Secondary Responsibilities: Participation in proposal development and other business development activities. Participation in client projects, branding, and professional organizations . Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization). Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials. #LI-SN1 Qualifications - External Enterprise Risk Management, Operations Risk: Enterprise Risk Management, OMB Circular A-123, Enterprise Risk Management A certification in one of the following is desired, but not required: RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), AGA Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), IIA Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field. Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees. US citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required. Travel may be required. Ability to work overtime required on occasion. Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally. Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements. Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
